One of my favorite books about letter writing is "The Handcrafted Letter" by Diane Maurer-Mathison. The author combines letter writing ideas with letter crafting ideas for a most inspiring book.
She offers advice for improving your handwriting, how to make stationery and cards, suggestions for things to include with your letter and much more.

This book looks really excellent! Thank you for the recommendation. I'm going to have to check this out - might be a great gift to encourage letter-writers.
I know this is way after the fact, but thank you for recommending this book. Finally picked up a copy yesterday and am enjoying it immensely. Just looking at the pictures makes me want to put pen to paper and I love her card & stationery making ideas. Between this book and "Good Mail Day" I'll be busy making all sorts of mail projects for quite some time. ;-)
