According a variety of unofficial sources, Jan. 9-15, 2011, is National Letter Writing Week. I have no idea who deemed it such, but I'm always happy for any reason to promote letter writing. (I know there is a similar "week" in October, too, and I'm not choosing sides -- just celebrating it all.)
Do you have any ideas for celebrating National Letter Writing Week? How will you share the news? Will you write more letters next week?
I just have one suggestion...have fun with it

I just started collecting postmarks you can see it on my blog

That's great! Did you see my past entry about collecting postmarks? Here it is:

If you put "postmarks" in the search engine of this blog, you'll get several other hits you might be interested in.
I enjoy finding interesting postmarks!
I'm going to be celebrating it on my blog with links, writing ideas, and a giveaway. However, everywhere I saw the dates, they were January 8-14th (which is odd, but it's what I'm going with). So I'll be celebrating on a slightly different schedule than you are, but I think the point is that we celebrate, right? :)
(365 Letters is going to be the last website I share during the week. Your blog is fabulous, and I'm excited about getting to share it with my readers!)
Thank you so much, Rebekah! I'm looking forward to reading the posts on your blog!
I think it is a great idea. I plan to celebrate it by sending letters and maybe giving something away on my blog.
I'm not quite sure how this works yet, but my immediate response was "yes, dammit, yes." I can report that I have a better than average learning curve. Plus, something to say at least once a day.
Found you when looking for links on National Letter Writing Week. I too am a letter writer (but not every day!)
I just recently discovered a website called BellflowerBooks.com where a bunch of people can create a book together online to tell somebody why they are loved, supported & appreciated. I think it's perfect for letter writing week!
