Movies about Letter Writing

A quick search on the Internet shows me that there are several movies about letter writing, but I only remember seeing one...The Love Letter...the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie.

It's about a modern-day man who finds a Civil War-era letter in an old desk. The letter was written by a young woman about 130 years earlier, but somehow they are able to send letters back and forth to each other. Of course, I'm a long-time "Somewhere in Time" fan, so I liked the movie.

Who can tell me about other letter-writing movies? What should I seek out and watch? What's your favorite movie about letter writing?

I want to watch that movie!
I´ve watched "The lake house" with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. This movie is about "a doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its former resident, a frustrated architect. They must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late." You must watch it...

Congratulations!!! you have received the "PROXIMIDADE Blog Award"!
See my blog for knowing its meaning and have fun!!! ;)

"The Love Letter" is one of my favorite movies. Another one you might like is "The Lake House" with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. It's simliar to "The Love Letter" in that they are writing from two different times. An old movie about letter writing is "Shop Around the Corner." "You've Got Mail" is a modernized re-make of "Shop". Hope this helps.

The movie The Love Letter w/ Tom Selleck and Kate Capshaw is based on a book by Cathleen Schine which is so VERY much better than the movie! Her writing style is wonderful, and there is so much in the book that can't really translate into a movie.

Another movie is 'Possession' based, again, on a much, much better book by A.S. Byatt. The letters between the characters back in time are so engrossing that I didn't want read about the present characters!
