I wrote my seventh letter of the new year last night. That's seven letters in seven days, so I'm right on track.
I've been anxiously awaiting a response from any of my letter recipients. I didn't tell anyone about this project before I started sending out the letters, but I've included a little note with each letter, letting them know about this blog.
Last night, I received my first response — an e-mail from my sister, letting me know that my niece was happy to get the letter. They were excited to find out about the project and blog.
So, it's a good start, so far!

That's great! I'm excited for your niece. I'd like to write a feature on my blog about your Etsy shop and this blog. e-mail me for details: looneybirdmoonmaiden@hotmail.com
I love receiving letters in the mail; I don't like to write them but love to receive them...great idea.
hmm..
i'm interested, but don't follow what your project is all about, do i have to read every post to understand? I read your "about you" and this post but I didn't get the jist. i want to know!

Ahh, sorry, Mary Jane, that it's not clear. I'll work on making sure readers can understand what I'm doing. I started a project on Jan. 1, 2009, to write a letter to someone (friends, family) every day. 365 letters. This blog is just about that project, as well as about letter writing in general.
Wow, taht's quite a commitment! Good luck!
this is a really nice idea. i actually write letters to people all the time - but not ones that are meant to be sent! it's incredibly therapeutic to vent your frustrations on paper, as it guides you to a resolution. writing loving letters to someone is even better, as it helps us to appreciate them. i think i will start to do it, but actually send these ones!
lovely blog. peace.

Wow, such a cool idea! Let's swap letters!
As the recipient of letter #5, I am wholeheartedly behind this project! Writing an actual letter and then (gasp) mailing it takes a lot more effort than a simple e-mail. It's so easy to get lazy and just send an e-mail. Nothing brightens someone's day more than going to the mailbox and finding something other than bills and junk mail! The only thing that make it better would be better was if money came with it. :)
What a great idea and project, good luck! ^_^
Hello! Thanks for the comment on my blog.
What a wonderful idea you have!! You're right - email is todays "letter" but not nearly as personal. (though much easier) I will be checking back often!!
good for you! just keep writing!
